its good idea because it will bring more new urban core to miami like city of miami manny diaz said miami going change not going be like use ppl like 20 years or before he say that miami going be a world class means soon or later going come guys

If money Diaz likes it, you can be sure that money will be stolen and it will falter just like the "performing arts center". The economic fundamentals are simply not there.

No more money to do that. Construction booms hit Miami every 20 years. Wait 20 years and MAYBE those glitzy irrational pictures will become a half-reality. If they built up Overtown like that, the stores wouldn't sell and would shut down because the retail market downtown is saturated. There is commercial space sitting vacant all over Brickell because businesses know nobody is living in the condos, so there wouldn't be anyone to buy their stuff. Besides, you have to deal with the violent criminal/drug problem that Overtown presents. The only way you could eliminate that problem to make it safe enough for the situations in those pictures would be to forcably evict most of Overtown and move them somewhere else.
