It seems like people in the Miami thread don't sugarcoat things as much as other cities. Everyone see's the negatives of the city, and talks about them more so than any other residents of other cities.

Miami is truly a love hate city with no in between. I find that people in Miami don't have the same pride in their city as people in the more istablished cities. When you really love your city the way that some people in the Northeast love their city, you become blind to your cities faults. Miamians are more objective about their city because their is not a lot of city pride. I know people who are born and raised in Miami and will not support the Dolphins. You want find Chicago born people supporting any other NFL team but the Bears. So if your not blindly in love with your city, you will be more objective.

I was born in Miami, and left for NYC since I was 3 years old. I'm a big fan of the Dolphins, Heat, Marlins, Miami Hurricanes and Florida Panthers. I'm also proud to tell people I'm a Miami native. People I know always admire Miami here in NYC. I don't know why you guys aren't proud of being from Miami.

Miami is probably the youngest major city (other than OKC) in the U.S and look how much it has grown for a young city. Yes, it has it's problems, but I think those will be ironed out eventually, and it will become a megacity like NYC and Chicago. It has the potential to, with it's major international ties.

Can you edit your title to say "I nominate the Miami forum as the most honest"? The current title will have some readers wondering which specific thread in the Miami forum you are referring to.

It's good to know that there's Miami transplants living in NYC, annoying the hell out of New Yorkers when you talk about Miami teams.

You're right. I should have said forum. I really wish I could edit it now. It looks pretty idiotic.
