Sunrico.
Dominoes are played by many people in Miami.
Haitians play double 6s.
African Americans also play.
Cubans play double 9s.
There are illegal gambling joints.
Really, you can play for free in street corners and parks, even at FIU students play.
On 15th Ave and 8th St Older Cubans play (55+)

I learned to play early in my military life while stationed in Panama, Louisiana, Texas and Puerto Rico. Due to my travels I learned many of the styles or regional rules of the game. I joined a club in Panama and we had tournaments every month, but also participated in many tournaments in the military bases and local towns...

In some of the barrios in Panama, players will place their gun or knifes on the table to keep all in their toes....

I've never seen a get together of Cubans (for the most part) for whatever small or big reason or no reason at all, that doesn't end up with a group playing dominoes. It's like it's a necessity, along with the pork and congri and plantains (and beer).

This is probably where most of my cubanness went down the drain, although if you're not too picky, I'll even play a bit.
