If you are a long time resident in Miami, you probably have been watching the Waterbed City blond model on TV for many years. Now, does she ever get old? She looks the same way she did back in the 80's!! Even the music and camera shots are the same!! Am I the only one that think it is weird?

She's still around? Dang. I remember her very well. Wasn't her name Nancy something? I used to beg my family to buy a waterbed but I suppose after me and my friends busted a neighbors waterbed by jumping up and down on it back in 1978 they decided it would be a bad idea lol. Those commercials sure had their effect on kids like me.

This is too funny. Remember the guy in the commercials in the early 80's? He looked a bit like a skinny porn actor with the mustache and everything?
He was my camp counselor for a summer (maybe 2?) in Broward.

It's funny how even things like cheesy commercials make it into the collective consciousness.

Johnny Carson used to do a sketch on this with Carol Wayne as the ample blonde (although I'm sure it wasn't the Miami commercial he was parodying...it might have been the other way around, though).

edit: This is the Carson sketch -- Tea Time Movie --
