We are the family of a hit and run victim. What is unbelievable in our case is that my son knew the kids that killed him. They crossed to the other side of the road, hit him, lost control and regained, did a u turn, and drove back by him and left. So...can we say intentional also? And they haven't been charged with anything. 8 months ago. They even said....it may not even be murder..... WHAT?????? We need help! Our system is failing us! He was only 20 with two little boys that he had custody of, and now they are without their father forever!

Are they investigating? Or have they declared the death an act of God?

This is a disgrace. Hit and run killers should be charged with murder, plain and simple. If you hit a pedestrian as a result of reckless driving, then do the most disgustingly cowardly thing of just driving off, you are a murderer and you deserve to be treated that way.

Hit and runs -- an issue I feel very strongly about. Where I come from, such murders are treated a lot more severely and tend to make national news, not just some side article in the Miami Herald.
