I have someone who is interested in moving to Miami but I am unsure of the better places in Miami that offer reasonable living costs, better safety, and close to stores/malls. All suggestions are welcome

It depends what you want and what kind of neighborhood your friend wants. Do they want a condo, townhome, single-family, older neighborhood, etc. ...narrow it down for us..

the town of miami gardens would be (and was) my choice. you have safe neighborhoods with good services, reasonably priced homes offering huge lots with lots of places to worship, be educated, shop and be entertained near by.

If you want to live in a "nice" area that has affordable rentals, I would suggest Kendall, Miami Lakes, and Aventura.
