State Farm is horrible, they wanted a 16%+ hike in prices after just getting one, and threatened if they didn't get approved, that they would pull out of the state. And now I guess they are making good on their threat. Well good riddens to them. What's even funnier less than 4 weeks ago I got a letter from them, saying they wanted to give me homeowners insurance. I told the better half, no way was I going with that money hungry company. Thank goodness we didn't go with them, I would be looking for another company today. State Farm will never get any business from me, and if I had an auto policy with them, I would drop them, just on principle.

I thought the state of Florida passed a law that said that any company that offers car and home insurance must offer the home insurance in Florida if they want to continue offering the car insurance. A company should not be able to cancel the home policies and still expect people to pay them for the more profitable car insurance. Even if the law never passed I hope everyone with a State Farm car policy will drop them if they leave Florida.

Have you actually made big claims with them, or do you just like the way they cash your check? They have a history of automatically fighting large claims, regardless of the merits of the claim.
