im a miamiam native. and it going to ****. its alot of corruption. money being wasted into things that are not important instead of making the city nicer. for a single person such as my self is hard to live unless you get paid the minimum $15 an hour if you want to live alone. if not your going to struggle or live with someone else. other then that there are some good things like the weather, beaches and meeting people from all over the americas. but like i said. miami could be alot better and not just a place for the rich to come to enjoy.

Let's agree to disagree. Personally, I find Miami to be extremely boring. I'm not into the beach, I'm not into going to clubs or bars and I don't consider Miami to be particularly "cultural". Does that make me boring, or does that make Miami boring? Personally, my boredom is alleviated by experiencing scenery, true diversity and at least some semblance of history (which Boston has, I might add). To me, boring is driving through a place that is nothing but strip malls, palm trees, cookie cutter homes and bland condos.....along with Florida's lack of scenery in general (unless you find the flatness appealing, somehow).

If "excitement" is having to deal with the Miami attitude on a daily basis, the reckless drivers, loud-a-- people with no respect and loud a-- music, then you can keep that brand of excitement and call me boring, if you wish.

However, we're talking about a single girl here....someone who probably does want to p-a-r-t-y and would probably enjoy living here, but would quite possibly hate the things that I enjoy. After all, one man's hell could be a single girl's paradise

A lot of gay men down here too, so you will have a smaller pool of men. Some of the straight men are not the best quality. Too many gangster wanna be but those are easier to spot (excessive jewerlry, ghetto talk) than the gay men.
