Now that my tint is off my front side windows i guess i better get some sun screen. Tinted windows protected me from sunburn. The towel around the arm seems abit odd but it works for you so thats all that matters.

I haven't seen that here in South Florida very much since most people use air conditioning, and as far as I am aware of, you don't get sunburned or tanned through glass, it that were the case I would have had sunburns since I have been driving around for over 15 years now lol! However with the window doen that is a different story. If you like feeling the hot wind in, use a towel or cut off long sleeve from an old shirt. I have seen people do this a lot in Latin America, especially taxi drivers.

Um... glass doesn't stop sunlight so you would get just as tanned. The difference is that with the window up there is no place to rest your arm so it is out of the sun.

The glass that cars have blocks UV B rays, those are the ones that cause sunburn. That is why you don't get sunburned when your windows are rolled up, or else everyone would be driving around with sunburned or dark left arms in this country. Just google the question and you will find the answer...

However UV A rays do come through, and those can damage skin, but they don't "burn" you.
