I have noticed that people are much more friendly when the temps are below 80F, and the higher the temps get the worse people get. Sadly we do spend 7+ months above 80F.

Why that far? how about an hour north to West Palm beach. I really would in a heartbeat, except I have too many anchors here in Miami and it would be impossible or even reckless for me to leave. Half my friends have left and the other half are in my shoes. The only guy I know that truly loves it here is a cokehead, so gee I wonder why he thinks meami is such a paradise.

Sorry the drivers in Miami are much worse then in LA or NY. They run red lights and tailgate like I have never seen.

Not that long ago Miami was rated as the rudest drivers in the US.

I can't speak for Ny but please dont bring LA into this, they might have a gang problem, but the people in that city have manners and they have some of the best drivers Ive ever witnessed. People respect the laws and each other on the road and u will hardly ever see tailgating and slow drivers in the left lane, they will actually move over if they see u approaching fast in the rearview. The majority of mexicans are very hard working people and they are very respectful people that are accostumed to hardships and dont feel they are entilted to anything. I never had a problem or encountered remotley anything I see here the 15 years I lived there.

I have to agree. I know quite a few mexicans as well as other spanish folks. Mexicans (in my opinion) are hard working and many of them would give the shirt off of their backs for one another. The folks in Miami, far different.

That is true, we seem to attract the poorest and the most politically oppressed. With the exception of Cubans in the 1960's and Venezuelans in the early 2000's, the VAST majority of Miami's immigrants have been dirt poor Hispanic or Caribbean peoples.

Then why is it that the average "Hispanic" neighborhood in Miami-Dade County is middle class? Why is it that Miami-Dade's "Hispanic" population has a comparatively low level of poverty and a comparatively high educational attainment? Weren't you just saying in one of your posts a few days ago that Miami's generally well-off and successful "Hispanic" population is distinct from that of most other cities in the United States? Very few areas of Miami-Dade have high proportions of Latin American immigrants are "dirt poor" and you know this. The absolute poorest areas of Miami-Dade are full of English-speaking Americans.
