In a car... LOL.. just kidding... The best way to South Beach is the way they are telling you up above me... I personally like taking Venetian Causeway or you can take Julia Tuttle causeway...

If you are looking to go to North Beach then that is a different route...

Are you boating or just hitting the beach?

That's easy you take airport expressway till it ends. Or the dolphin expressway east till it ends.

Cross the Julia Tuttle and take Alton Rd at the end to the right toward South Beach.

It depends on which part of the beach. I like the view better on the Dolphin and 395 because you see all of the tall buildings in downtown as you pass and you go by the cruise ships, Star Island, and through the heart of Sobe. By the way, isn't the 112/95 interchange all torn up right now due to the construction?

The interchange is being worked on, but I'm pretty sure it's only the on/off ramps to 95 that are affected. You can still go straight through to the beach. for SoBe, south at Alton Rd, for NoBe, north at Alton Rd. Either way takes about the same amount of time.

If you have a car what the other posters said. If you don't have a car, then catch a cab from the airport to the Beach, its a flat rate ($32 - $52) depending on what part of the beach you are going to. You can also catch a shuttle from the airport which will be cheaper if you are alone going to South Beach. If you are staying in South Beach you can walk to pretty much everything. If you are stay north of South Beach, catching a cab down to South Beach is easy. This link will give costs http://www.miami-airport.com/html/ta...e_service.html
