This may sound like a silly question, but; is there free parking available within walking distance to the beach at Sunny Isles?

We live in Fort Lauderdale now near the beach, but are thinking about a move to Aventura area just off Miami Gardens Rd. (I believe that is still Aventura) anyhow, as residents of Fort Lauderdale we get up to 6 hours a day free parking at the beach! There are meters and parallel parking and designated lots for this. Presently, we rent near the beach but saw something cheap to buy in the afore mentioned area and thought that now might be the time to purchase and move. But this free beach parking is really a hard thing to walk away from.

Any ideas about how we could park the car, access the beach and NOT spend money in or near Sunny Isles Beach?

All comments welcome, thank-you.

I know this post is old, but the question is a valid one. The only place where we park is under the causeway bridge, right as you get off the causeway from Aventura onto Collins. A month ago it was about $2/hr or so. It was very close to the sand, but you still have to cross Collins to get to it. I wish they had a public parking lot on the east side of Collins.

It's possible to park at Aventura Mall and use the free Sunny Isles Beach shuttle bus or the MDT buses S/120/E (much faster and more frequent, but not free) to get to the beach.
