I am so proud to say that I was born and raised in Miami and wanted to see how many of us out here are born and raised as Miami as well. I was born in Jackson memorial hospital in 1960, went to Miami Christian School and went to college in Miami as well.

Although I have seen some changes take place here, Miami turned out to be a great place to live. If you remember South beach was a retirement home for the elderly and during the Mariel Boatlift crisis south beach went through some major changes as well. Our Miami Zoo was once a naval blimp base and Crandon Park Zoo was the place to be. Drive in movies were big, and burger places with waitresses on roller skates gave us some great times to remember. Kendall Drive was nothing but a dirt road, all farms and crops.

If your a "miamian" give us a shout and join us.

Have a great day!

I was born and raised in Miami but live a few miles south of it currently. However I am there most of the time and can say I wish it would have never changed into the overpriced, crowded mini-storage for the world's problems it is now.

If this kind of Miami could be brought back I would complain a whole lot less!

The majority of Miami natives voted with their feet and left for a higher standard of living.

Born in Doctors Hospital 1960. Spent my elementary years at Blue Lakes on miller road and JR high high school in S Miami Heights/Cutler Ridge. We left when I was a JR in HS and since all the rest of my family has left. I feel privlidged to have grown up in that place at that time. I get emotional when I go back and visit

I wasn't born here, but I've lived in Miami-Dade since 1951. Both of my children were born in Hialeah Hospital and both still live here.
