I hired trucking company "A" to transport goods. They hired company "B" who hired company "C" who hired company "D". Company "D" did the actual tranporting. Company "B&C" went out of business before paying company "D". Company "A" was under contract with "B" and paid to their collectors. Company "D" does not have a contract with anyone in business but says he is going to sue us, the shipper. I have given him the instructions on how to get paid by Company "B&C" collectors but he's says he doesn't have to go through them and that he can get paid directly from me, the shipper. Is this true? Can he sue. I am located in Florida and all other companies involved are out of state. Please HELP!!!
