i felt safer in someways driving with the crazy cabbies in NYC (even though I should of told one to slow down, I was literally hanging onto the arm rest) than driving myself in Miami. Miami drivers are just not aware of their surroundings sometimes I am not sure if it is the age of some of these drivers to young or to old or just what they grew up watching in their home country and so drive that way here. These crazy drivers than cause normal good drivers to have to drive crazy to get away from them.

For once, I will not even try defending Miami.

Today I came to a four way stop sign. There was only one other car at the intersection. The one car was to my right, and behind him were two cars. I let the car to my right go as he was at the intersection first, then the two cars behind him just ignored the stop sign and went through. Neither car ever stopped for the stop sign. I proceded to honk my horn and point at the stop sign. I am telling you people just don't know how to drive in Miami. Or they just don't care about the law and think they are KING of the road I will do what I want everyone else needs to watch out.

Yeah, I wont defend Miami in this regard either (and I like Miami). Drivers here are just bad, especially on the expressways. For anyone thinking of moving to South Florida (I think Broward is almost as bad), I would predict that you will find your enjoyment of living here to be inversely proportional to the length of your commute. If you work in downtown Miami, try to live near DT, if you work in Kendall, live in Kendall, etc.

Umm... I don't know... maybe live near the airport, stowaway on a plane goin your direction in the AM, then parachute down to your fine place of employment for the day. Be better than driving anyway.

BTW, CiXeL I haven't really been keeping up with the Miami threads much, but i check in from time to time and it seems that you are just a tad less vitriolic in your hatred of Miami recently. Is it just me or are you mellowing in your old age?
