Hi everyone!
I'll be coming to Miami (staying in Coconut Grove) next wk, with 5 yo twin boys. We'll be there for 2 wks.

Besides the obvious things like the zoo, what are some ideas of things we can do/visit/see?

Also, are there some nice grocery stores in the area that you'd recommend? I don't know how safe or not the area is, but I will have a car.

And I would like to eat some good seafood while I'm there, but it has to be somewhat casual and kid friendly - something other than Red Lobster.

Thanks!

You can go to Watson Island and there is a Children's Museum and right across the causeway from the museum is Jungle Island and then while you are there especially early Saturday you can marvel at the beautiful cruise ships at the Miami Cruiseport

Jungle Island off the MacArthur Causeway:Google Maps

Children's Museum off the MacArthur Causeway:

This is just a couple of spots I can think of right off hand for children in your kids age group and like I said you can view the beautiful Port of Miami from the Children's Museum, hopefully you will sight the beautiful and elegant cruise ships.

Miami Science Museum
Biscayne National Park
Jungle Island (Parrot Jungle) (http://jungleisland.com/history.php - broken link)

For groceries, Try Publix. You should be close to 27th ave. Drive South to Coral Way(24 st) and there is one there, on the left hand side.

You can take your kids to the Miami Seaquarium or the Key Biscayne Lighthouse

Fairchild Tropical Gardens might be nice depending on their exhibits and you should defintely take a drive to Homestead and visit Knauss Berry Farm - yummies!
There is bowling on South Beach that my kids liked and then lunch at Big Pink.
