I want to do as much research I can before making my big move, How's Downtown Miami? Like what shop's and restaurants are around. What's the amount of young people you in or around. What type of night time activities are there to get into. Is there apartment building's and schools around. Just a few questions i have been scratching my head to. I know i may be asking some question that i could have answered by searching on google but why do that when i can get info from people that live in or have ever been to Miami. Thank's in advance and all info is accepted.

We'll separate downtown into two areas--the Central Business District on the northside of the Miami River and Brickell (southside of the Miami River). The CBD pretty much empties out when the work day is done. There is Bayside Marketplace with some restaurants but that's hit or miss. Brickell is where all the condos are and the area is growing in terms of restaurants and shops (notably Mary Brickell Village which opened about 2 years ago). Could see some great expansion around Brickell in the next few years but we're looking at 10 years or so to be better developed. Honestly if you're looking for walkable areas outside of Miami Beach look at Coconut Grove, Miracle Mile, or South Miami around Sunset Place.

Everything in Miami is within driving distance, no matter where you live...now how long you'll actually be in your car is another story! The traffic here is killer!
