Enjoy the warm Florida water at the beach. Rent an umbrella and use a lot of sunscreen.
Dine al fresco under misting machines to keep you cool. Try Latin-American food, especially cool and fresh Peruvian ceviche for a hot Summer's day meal.
Go to South Point Park on late Saturday and Sunday afternoon to watch the cruise ships leave. There's a terrific water play lot there for kids and some shade. There's also a snack bar there for ice cream and frozen popsicles.
Do what most Europeans like to do in the US; go shopping at a giant outlet mall in the air conditioning. You'll need either a mall shuttle, a rental car or some other form of temporary transportation.
