I've been searching online for a studio or 1bdrm to live with inclusive amenities for easy living and most of what i found was too cheap to be true. (inclusive amenities such as laundry facilities or w/d in unit and a pool for excercising and security) Anything else would be extra. To be quite honest I am a little nervous living alone with no man in the house. I've had strangers stalk me and followed me home from work and I had no choice but to head to the police station. So i'd rather stay in a secure type of builing dwelling instead of a single family housing type which u can walk up to your own entrance and have nice green lawns and yard, at least in the beginning until i get to know the areas 1st hand. I'm a female age 30. I dont drink much so i dont need to be by bars but dont mind if I am. I am from New Orleans so bars are everywhere. I am married but would be living in Miami alone with 1 of our dog. Hubby will stay in New Orleans with the other dog and cat. We will be traveling back n forth to both places @least once or twice a month. i guess if the hurricane comes this way we'll head that way, we're use to it...so idealy i'd like a place on the beach or has nearby access to the beach. location is important to me. I'd rather give up real estate and be in a better part of town. so i've narrow it down to maybe
Bay Parc Plaza Apartments $880,although its not on the beach i think its close enough?? does anyone know if this is a safe area/place to live 1st hand or know of it? does anyone have any place in mind to suggest? Should I increase my price range?

Dont move to Miami... If u move go to Miami beach! I got a place in Sunny isles/North Miami Beach. Its mostly a Jewish/Russian Neighborhood so you dont have much to worry about! Those Rabbi's wont stalk you! Its very nice! 1 bed 1 bad 750 square foot!

I wouldn't recommend Bay Parc Plaza ( and anything in Midtown ) if one of your main priorities is safety...the area of this condo is okay per se, but you are too close to Overtown ( crime ridden neighborhood )...

And I found some reviews of Bay Parc: Bay Parc Plaza Apartment Ratings, Reviews, Map, Rents, and other Miami apartments for rent from ApartmentRatings.com

You can also try to find something cheap in these areas, although its probably gonna be very hard in that price range (all good and safe neighborhoods, on or near the beach):
- Downtown (depending of the area)
- Brickell
- Miami Beach (especially North Beach, as its generally cheaper, even though not as good as the rest of the Beach)
- Surfside
- Sunny Isles
- North Bay Village

I would try to increase the price range, if possible, cause its gonna be hard to find something okay in this price (except in the 'burbs, or a studio in a old building - maybe - ).
