people live above their means everywhere in the US and all one has to do look at the foreclosure rates around the nation to see that a lot of Americans (including Miami) live above their means! As for the expensive cars and clothes a lot of 20 somethings still live at home and really have no expenses so they throw away the money by leasing or buying expensive cars and charging for their clothes.
Those houses in Hialeah or wherever maybe small but they're not cheap either!

Aside from Little Havana that has a lot of good little privately owned cafes, there are way too many Starbucks in greater Miami and few other places to get coffee (that's why I make my own - because I refuse to pay over $4 for a drink).

There were two superb American cafeterias in Calle 8.
The best was Ranch House that later became Neighbors.
It was 8th and 37?
That place was fabulous, entirely American.
There was another cafeteria close by, also entirely American.
Are those places still there?

Isn't living beyond your means the American Way,while living frugally is the euro way..?

If so,then Miami & Vegas are the Twin Towers of Americanism...

A very wise assertion from somebody that once heard somebody speaking Spanish in Orlando and fled to Barbi City.

Yeah, there's a lot of Starbucks' in Miami but Little Havana isn't the only place to can get the best coffee for a steal. Little Havana has a lot of cafes and probably sell the best coffee, but there are a lot of other cafes in Miami outside Little havana and all over Dade that sell great coffee for cheap.
