I'm looking into moving at King's Colony or Waterford Landing at 142nd avenue. Is anyone familiar with these apartments complexes? Thanks.

I lived at Waterford - but it was in the mid 90's. It was nice - just really far west.

It's not that far west anymore...it's a decent area with close proximity to pretty much everything.

It may be close to everything you need on the weekend or evenings - but its a nightmare to get to any major expressway.

True, esp. during rush hour, but other than that, it's about 7 minutes to the Turnpike. I go by there everyday on my way home from work (around 3-4 pm) and the traffic isn't bad at all....until around 5 or so...

Thanks everyone. Too far from what? It seems very convenience to shopping, and I don't need to be on any expressway. I'm a single Mom with a 10 year old boy, the only "entertainment" we need is Macdonalds, Michaels's crafts and the Movies.
I just want to make sure the apartments are safe and nice.
I'm also looking into Dadeland. Any nice apartments over there?
Thanks again!

The Dadeland area is much more convenient. It just seems like when you go west of 117th Ave its always so congested, lots of traffic lights, etc. You will be much happier you lived in the Dadeland area than out in West Kendall.
