A friend of mine lives in Homestead. She in an RN and works at the brand new, state of the art, hospital down in Homestead. She has a huge property and is building a house on it. Homestead is not all bad! I really don't think Homestead is the problem. I think some people are misreable wherever they live.

luvsofla .... please .... other than some good Mexican food and the speedway , Homestead has become a dump . It has never really recovered from Hurricane Andrew and I would be a depressed loon if I had to live in Homestead .

I remember going to Homestead as a kid when visting family in South Florida
( I grew up In Jacksonville ) and thinking back then that it was ok ... we only liked it because my cousins and I would go horse back riding and would pick strawberries and thought that was cool , but I always thought of Homestead as a depressing place to live and it is obviously much worse now because of the low income housing and some of the people that attracts . I am sure your friend is a sweet heart but .... living in Homestead that is rough !!
