A lot of people in this thread were complaining about the lack of diversity in the music scene in Miami. I was wondering if anyone has been to Grand Central downtown. Its supposed to host a lot of live music, indie bands, etc. I've hear decent reviews but the age limit is on 18 so that makes it a little questionable for me.

Miami's music scene and diversoty is easily top 5. Miami has ALL the Latin music types and genres from it's originators and than even more from other ethnicities that do the music genre/type, for example, Salsa is Cuban, but there is also Colombian Salsa, etc. etc. Miami has all the Black music types and genres and Black Caribbean types and genres., even the Afriacan ones
. Let's see, let's just name a few other, Miami is HUGE in Dance music, Freestyle, Hip Hop and all it's variations. Remember Miami is also the originator of Miami Bass music. Every type of music Miami has. Indian, all type of Asian ones, everything, everything, everything. Also remember Miami is home to the annual Ultra MUsic Festival which is the largest Dance event in the world. Easily top 5, probably even top 3

I live in the Miami area and wish I could live in Atlanta. It's better on so many levels! I miss the South!
