final made the trek from australia to maimi beach. sorted out my accom etc now afta a car. ive worked on cars my whole life so kno public auction is the cheapest way to go and also the biggest range at once. question is.....does anyone kno where the public motor vehicle auctions are in miami? want to go check it out and buy a car that way. do they have a website so i can check there stock list?

Not sure if Miami has any of these auctions, I have always known them to be in Central Florida. I could be wrong though. Not sure if these auctions are open to the public????

You could check Public Surplus. Nothing is listed in Miami-Dade now, though. There are only a couple of cars and a truck (unless you want to drive a school bus! ) but things are listed fairly frequently:

whats a good website for private sales then. what is the proceedure and regulations bout buyin cars in the us? done it to death in oz but got no idea about the system here. do u need to get road worth certificates here and change of ownership forms etc? proof of clear title to make sure theres no debt on the car?

also whats a good small economical car 2nd hand for bout 5k thats reliable n cheap to fix? just want something cheapish till i got my own place not renting.
