Hi
Just a little bit of advice and info is needed if possible !!!
My Wife and I are looking to take a vacation in Miami in the summer we have two kids (3 & 12) and was thinking about a few days in Miami before heading down to the Keys
I have read on here that South beach can be abit much for people with kids due to partying etc , I last was in Miami about 10 years ago and loved it but not sure if it is the place to take kids
Are there any other area's of the city that are Family friendly with nice beaches etc

Haulover Beach has a nude beach, so not family friendly. SoBe beaches are fine, especially during the week, I wouldn't worry to much. Bill Baggs State park on Key Biscayne has a nice beach. Just north of South Beach in Surfside the beaches there are fine too. There are plenty hotels in South Beach that are family friendly resort type hotels. If you are coming during the summer, its our slow season, so even less people, I wouldn't dismiss South beach just because of the children.
