My favorite temps are between 60-72. Your right , we all have our likings. I guess thats why all states have people living in them right? To me...I cant for the life of me understand why anyone would live down south where its like this everyday and worse....but they seem to LOVE it...go figure!

Not always so. I lived in the South 18 years, in the Blue Ridge where it was cool, and many a Southern Faimly had summer homes around me.... property values were based on elevation and not acerage. The higher you got, the more expensive the property, and not only for the view. We figured 100 foot per degree of temp. I was at 4,000 and the county seat was at 2200. Quite a difference on a summer day, those 23 miles away. We rarely got above 80, and AC was rare there also. It got colder in the Blue Ridge with temp. spikes , than it does up here in da U.P.

Well, it's late at night and for those without AC you can do this trick and it should help. I've got my fans outside the doors and windows. I do this to draw the cooler air in as it works a lot better than having the fans inside. This is what passes for AC in my house. After awhile I'll bring them back in then go to bed in a cooler house.

Summer will be over before you know it. Your winters are long & cold so enjoy the warmth while you can. The falls in michigan are breath taking unlike so.ca (yawnz).

How true. Once Labor Day hits here in MI it's as if someone shuts off the light switch. Sure, we may have a few warm days here and there in October, but all and all cool mornings and evenings with less daylight until next May.

Its 67 @ 8:45 this AM here in Marquette. Humidity 85% winds-calm. Calling for a high of 72 today, however I am sure it will be warmer than that, under clear skys.
A cold front is finally working its way into the U.P., the next 2 nights will see temps in the 40s and highs in the 70s. More normal for these parts.

visit to the MSU gardens yesterday. Was a bit of a disappointment because so much had bloomed about a month early there. However was happy to see the honey bees, Carptner bees and Bumble bees out in full force. Lots of mint plants in bloom they were going crazy over.
There were Galardia plants in bloom too the bees were working. the honey bees were on the mints mostly and the Carptner and bumble bees were on the Galardia plants.

Even thought it was hot and humid there was a strong wind to help with the cooling and lots of shady places.
Every thing looked real spiffy as the master gardners were having their yearly meeting there this week end.
