Who in Michigan will be joining me in front of the TV to watch tonight? I have high hopes for this show to showcase the good about Detroit and not the just the bad and the ugly.

I am so curious to see how closely the stories will mirror reality, as in ripped-from-the-headlines genre. Lord knows there is much fodder for the writers! Not that I want to see anyone humilated, they are good enough at doing that on their own! What I am hoping is to see how resilient the people are weathering any storm, be it political or economic.

Thank you, I was waiting to see this show. I moved to NC from Troy a year and a half ago and would like to see how D is represented.

"Hung" on HBO is also filmed in the area, in the beginning credits the guy is shown walking up Woodward near 9 mile and appears to jump into a lake (Quarton?) at the end.

I am looking forward to see the pilot this evening. Curious to see if most of it is shot on location in Detroit and/or surrounding areas.

I will be checking this show out, it kind of reminds me of Third Watch but it's set in Detroit.

I believe the "Hung" lake is somewhere in Commerce Twp. Definitely looks like many of the lakes in NW Oakland County. Thinking specifically of Highland and White Lake areas.

Its interesting that in " Hung" he walks down E. grand Blvd. past the old Packard Plant....not a neighborhood I would want to walk , taking off my clothes! Must be the Detroit river he is heading for ?... Ether way , its a great show on HBO , very off beat , something refreshing over all the " reality crap shows out there.

Wulf, all the PR and stories I have read in the Freep indicate it is shot in Metro Detroit. I have read several interviews with the stars about them relocating to Michigan and hoping to be here for many years.

I have to admit the one thing I am really curious about is if they are going to address why a Detroit cop has such a decidedly Bronx accent! lol

It looks like the ratings were not very good

I really got into it the second half of the season after a bit of a slow start. It was one of my favorite shows and never missed an episode.

Other programs that were axed :

ABC has decided to cancel "V," "Brothers & Sisters" and rookie series "No Ordinary Family," "Off the Map," "Detroit 1-8-7" and "Mr. Sunshine."
The announcement came just after Deadline reported that the network was attempting to bring back "Brothers & Sisters" for a sixth and final season.
