DETROIT -- Michigan voters are much more optimistic about the direction the state is headed compared to just a few short months ago, according to the latest poll conducted by WDIV-TV and the Detroit News.On behalf of WDIV and the Detroit News, Glengariff Group Inc. conducted a 600-sample statewide survey of registered Michigan voters between Jan. 2 and 3.The live operator telephone survey has a margin of error of plus/minus 4.0 percent, with a 95 percent level of confidence.
