I don't see that happening any time soon.
With fuel cost predicted to sour to $4.00 by May and $5.00 by the end of 2011 I see sales dieing a quick death. People can't afford a new car/truck and still afford to buy fuel to get to work and food to eat.

The electric car/truck may work for those living in citys in warmer climates. Isn't going to do so well in the north when it is cold battery out put just SUCKS big time.

Did a outdoor building project last week useing my battery powered drill and driver. Even the batterys with 5 AMH's would only last about a half hour before dieing.
In the summer the batterys last for several hours.

If you haven't tried already, put the batterie(s) in the charger for 5-10 minutes beforehand, it helps. Otherwise, time to get out the old corded drill ha ha.
Pretty much the same for all batteries, even my cell phone will die out when skiing for long periods, even when held in a chest pocket protected from the wind.

I have nothing against profit sharing checks for Ford Motor. GM? Well, still kinda miffed on the bailouts.

Is it necessary to use the words "factory rats?"
