So I sat down to watch Ghosthunters with my wife. I was thrilled to see they were going to Mackinac island to investigate Mission Point Resort.
I was a little irritated when they began to complain in the very first part of the show. Pissing and moaning and whining about the cold. They mad it so clear how tough it was to do the investigation, the conditions, the cold, the snow, the ice and on and on and on. I've seen the do shows in cold places with snow before yet I have never seen them complain so much. Just had to be Michigan they were complaining about.
All in all though it was cool to see a show done about a familiar place that I have visited many times. So if ya can stomach the stupidity it was kind of cool.

(edit) I can understand they wanted to go there when there was nobody there, but they could have waited until it was a little warmer and still next to nobody on the island. Like end of April or start of May.

I saw it also. Seemed they were complaining quite a bit at the beginning, but once they started getting some great stuff, they seemed to really get into it. I think its loading all the equipment onto a boat...then off ... then on again in the cold they didnt seem to really be looking forward to. Very cool though!

I watched also! I enjoyed the whole thing. However, I do agree that they were whining and moaning quite a bit....especially at the end when the guy from mission point flew out to rhode island to meet with them! That was a bit much..ha anyway, always nice to see 'home' featured on tv shows.....love how much Mike Rowe loves MI (or seems to at least!)

Another thing that cracked me up and you KNOW was for effect. When they were on the ferry they stood outside on the deck. lmao Boat ride is what 15 minutes or so? You know darn well they were only out there for the shot and then high tailed it inside. But if you didn't know any better you might wonder " don't they have a heated part of the ferry?"

Not sure...they are pretty adventurous, and it was probably one of the only times they got to see a boat breaking through the ice....that they were on. I kinda think they enjoyed that part.
