No matter what happens tonight, epic comeback by a team that I just didn't think had it in them this year. Mike Babcock has been criticized at times this season, but he has worked a miracle in bringing this series to game 7 against a powerhouse team like San Jose.

Oh, and Pavel Datsyuk is the best hockey player in the world......IN THE WORLD!!! LET'S GO DETROIT!!

Call me repugnant, but it seems like the Red Wings needed to play with more emotion. Babcock and co. kept saying to remain calm, and they played like it was a mid season game. NOT a game 7 of the playoffs. Especially in the 1st periods. They looked flat. Cmon Babcock! Get them UP to play! They looked sedated. This is where Steve Yzerman was missed. He was the best motivator of any player I've ever seen. But I am the expert and everyone should listen to me, so there you have it.

It was a great series. As I posted in another thread, perhaps spotting them three games then trying to sweep wasn't the best plan. Then the Wings seemed to think they didn't need the first period of game 7, they'd just play the next two. Ah, well, it was another in a long line of years of great hockey.

Yzerman was the biggest proponent and best example of the power of staying calm. He motivated by example. That's something I see Datsyuk trying to do as well. It took Yzerman years to be able to do that effectively, but when he did it well, the whole team performed better.

I'm a hockey fan, I watch any game on CBC at about any time of the day or night I know about. we even watch the AHL on Saturday afternoons.
Yes I like the wings, about the only Michigan Pro Pro team worth a hoot.
Lots of NHL hockey left so I say go Boston and Vancover. I would like to see those two meet in the finals.
The evening channel 4 Detroit are switching to the lighting to win it all.

I would like for both series to go 7 games, so I'll root for whoever is behind in the series.
