I hear things were a little exciting yesterday for my neighbors to the East. Judging by the way my Ruby is pacing her pen, it's about to get exciting later today.

Just being a worry-wart. I like our little virtual barbershop here.

Stay safe, folks... Here's hoping for a big non-event, but I'm not betting on it, at least not in my neck of the woods.

Radar so far shows nothing but a small line of showers west of Chicago, so right now its not impressive. These things will have to blow up pretty quickly once they reach Lake Michigan to make me a bit nervous, but right now its really nothing.

I've got 90 on my front porch and no sign of anything serious yet. I'm keeping close watch, however.

Looks like the tiny line of storms and rain has reached Chicago and is falling apart. So far the 6 out of 10 on the Tor-Con index looks like it was a bit high. The big mitten looks like it will shoo them away as it does most of the time...but still keep an eye on the sky.

We are under Moderate chance for severe weather which is pretty high. Here in Lansing we were on the outer edge of the Moderate on Sunday and we got our butts kicked, so keep an eye on the weather today!

Storms are expected to pop up suddenly (probably after the convection passes over Lake Michigan)and I am hoping it's not going to be a line, but individual storms (this way we have better chance to avoid some severe weather by sliding inbetween cells ) Either way, it's already popping in IL, so they are coming...

We've moved a few times, I've been on a few boards, other than some of the SW MO ones, I think the Michigan board is the best on CD.

I'm not biased or anything tho.

Well the wind got a little spooky here, but other than that, it all calmed down. My mare calmed down long before that, but I was still jumpy as a 12 legged frog...

Still looks like the east side is getting a whuppin'... Hope it's all bark, no bite.

Ominous yellow sky and cloudbanks to the north...but the wind has died down and I don't think we're going to get any wild weather here tonight...I hear thunder but it seems far north, so maybe Saginaw and Bay county are going to get a t-storm.

Got a bit of wind and a few drops of rain, then it cleared right back up. I was thankful for the cold front that dropped the temps like a rock, it felt good to go from mid-80's to low 70's in just a matter of minutes.
