Hi,

I have a question regarding these two areas.

Which place may be a better fit for the person I describe below.

Asian, brown skin with a beard, a doctor. Friendly, likes to have coffee at the local coffee shop after work. Will have a parent living with him. The parent will prefer some places nearby to shop on their own.

No chances of living in Ann Arbor (45 min from Jackson) because its simply too long of a distance to drive daily for him.

The option with Saginaw is to live in Bay City and commute but are there any other places closer than Bay City that are nice and safe?

There is also the option of staying at a hotel (as its a temporary job) or renting an apartment in the areas. Finding apartments is difficult online for both places I have found.

Rent desired: Under $1000 a month for a 2 bedroom.

There is also a concern about the car (safety). He can have a rental and not take the SUV to work daily. Should that even be a concern?

Thank you.

I would choose to live in Bay City over both Sag. and Jackson. I like most of Bay City myself, and I do believe it was just named one of the best "cheapest" places to live in the country.
