It is a great place to buy chickens.

The schools do not have a reputation for being good, but not for being bad either.

It is too far from Detroit for a reasonable commute.

They used to have a large livestock auction that was mostly broken down or abused animals who were mostly bought for dog food, glue, jello, experiments etc. I last went to that auction more than 30 years ago, maybe that is no longer there, or no longer nasty.

When I went to Fenton recently to buy chickens, it seemd like a nice place. THe people where we ate were friendly. The lady selling chickens was very friendly.

That is about all I know about Fenton.

Not sure about Fenton...but I really like Holly.. I do the Farmers Market there, and I really like the town. On the whole...Its a great area with lots of lakes. I really enjoy it when I travel to that area.

Really? One of my relatives commutes daily to the GM Tech Center in Warren.

Fenton is a very nice town. It has grown ALOT in the last 25 years, and it is really like a small suburb now. The schools are good and there are lots of shops and restaurants. It is on the outer edge of the southeast Michigan world, but the metro area is still very easy to access from there. (1 hour to downtown Detroit) There is a very nice state park near there called 7 lakes state park. The only bad thing about Fenton is the commute most people who live there face. It can be a long drive to your job near Detroit if something is wrong on US 23 or I-96. Overall I would say Fenton is one of the nicest towns in that part of the state.

Fenton is actually part of the Flint Metropolitan Statistical Area.

I believe that Danielj72 would be a closer neighbor to you than ColdJensens!
