On Halloween it can be warm or have snow flurries. Not that will stick but you just never know what the end of Oct will bring. Real snow comes around Dec but Nov can be cold. Then it does not warm back up till April but that month again you can have ice storms or more mild.

My wife is the same way. September through early November is her favorite time of year. It is a great time of year.

Although we sometimes get some snow in October, we also have days in the 60s and sometimes even up to 70. We usually keep using our pool through the end of October, but then it gets too expensive to heat it.

Cooler weather can start at the end of August at night, but sometimes it is hot round the clock. While you can expect hot in July and most of August and cold in January, most of February and March, the rest of the year is like Forrest Gump's box of chocolates - you never know what you are going to get.
