The Grand River is expected to reach record flood levels in the Grand Rapids area. Not good.

Most parts of Michigan do not routinely deal with destructive flooding.

It got up to 79 degrees ahead of the storm here in Metro Detroit. It was also pretty windy. It's back down to 64 and calm winds now.

Didn't hear any thunder so it seems like the storm was pretty weak passing by. The build up had me thinking a tornado was surely possible.

Not sure where you are, but downtown we had thunder, lightening, and rain by the buckets. Still pouring on and off.

Wouldn't that be a bit tiring by now considering we start losing daylight again in two more months?

Ever since Mount St. Helens blew up, it seems like our winters and springs have not been the same. Winters where it snows, melts, snows, and melts again. Before St. Helens, the snow would fall and not melt until late March. We went out everyday for some kind of winter sport. And now, we have about two weeks of spring and then a head dive right into hot humid temps.
