I am traveling with my family for a week in Port Austin and would like to stay in town to work rather than drop them off and go to a larger city to find WiFi. I need WiFi access for email and wondered if anyone knew where that might be in the local area. Last year, I begged the library to let me pay for and install a wireless access point for them to keep but they were skeptical and backed out.

Doubt that you will find any WiFi in Port Austin. That is a real one horse town. You may find something in Bad Axe about 20 miles South,but even that is doubtful. Whole area is farm and tourist area, nice lake access.

The History museum has wifi access in Port Austin. The Holiday Inn Express in Bad Axe has WIFI.
