Can anyone else remember going on vacation in the summer at a fishing camp on (I believe) Clear Lake, a place called "FELDKAMP'S LANDING"? They had about 8 fishing cottages for rent situated in a circle around a small pond that held the rowboats that came with each cottage. The pond had a canal that linked up to the lake. There was a quaint bridge over the canal that went to the small store they also ran that supplied bread, milk, eggs, basic groceries, bait, beer and essentials to the campers.

We went there EVERY year for vacation and I grew up thinking the word "vacation" actually meant to go fishing for two week every summer. What great memories I have of that place, I am hoping someone else has photos of it. I wonder if it still stands? I thought I found it on a map once. It is, (or was)I think south of Waterloo on or just off Clear lake Road just north of I 94.

Wow that sounds fantastic, let me know if you find it.. I'd love to take my sons to a place like that..

As for "Clear Lake" you can find all of the lakes in Michigan named this here;

Let me know if you find the specific lake, and I can take a drive out there and check it out for you.

Default Feldkamp's Landing

I remember Fedkamp's Landing as I have been going to Clear Lake (Exit 153 off I-94 west of Ann Arbor, Michigan) since I was a boy--44 years now. The original cottages on the lot have been sold as lots and each person now owns their own cottage and lot. Owners pay an association fee for upkeep of the grounds and there also is a common lakefront area. It is now callled Koch's Landing--named after the woman who bought the land and carved it into lots. There still is a small channel going from the lake back into the pond near the cottages.
