I'm not old enough to actually know what it was like under George Romney, but compared to his son, they're like night and day. George Romney was CEO of a car company and understood the auto industry very well. He understood poverty, social injustices, and finance as well. None of these traits seemed to pass on to his son (except the finance part).

George Romney, Mitt's father, was Michigan's governor (Michigan's last great governor I might add).
Mitt Romny left the state as soon as he could for Massachusetts (and became the governor of that state).

With all his talk I would like him to become president and see just how much his talk will take him. I doubt he will get very far. But since the republicans have dragged their feet on everything and made it a point to not work with Obama, I don't think it will matter that much who is the next President. It is more about the money since some can blow millions on their guy. For most of us it won't make much difference who is the next president really. I am not sure I will even vote for either once the election is here. For me it really does not matter these days. The lobbyists who have the money will get their things through and since most of us don't have the $ it won't matter. Look at wall street and the loop holes there are.
