where is the best place you have lived in this glorious state
Im thinking about moving and need some ideas
I am a radiologist and need a hospital within a hour away
I want to maybe live near a great lake with smaller inland lakes around
I would also like to have places to ride a road bike, that are nice

Thanks for The help michiganders!

I can tell you where I would LIKE to live. I have been to most areas of the state...and if I had to move...these are my first choices. I could name 20 more...but these would be my top choices.
1) Traverse City
2) Marquette
3) Tawas/Oscoda area
4) Petoskey area
5) Ludington
6) Grand Rapids
7) Drummond Island
8) Houghton

The Traverse City area is top on my list too. You'll have Lake Michigan and countless other smaller lakes all over the place. Munson is the main hospital in TC.

I'm with both Michmoldman and Luzette...TC is on top of my list too. As a matter of fact, my family and I are planning to move there next year. I'm a medical biller/coder and my wife will be a pharmacy tech. Munson is where I would love to work, they have different facilities through out Northern Michigan so there are several opportunities for those in the medical field.
