I need to rent either a semi tractor and trailer that can hold a 96 lifted bronco and an s10 or a 20ft pull behind that can hold an s10 and 3 rooms of crap... I'm havin a hard time finding how to rent them. Somewhere in my area would be great. kinda strapped for cash. unless somebody in mi needs a 20ft enclosed deliverd to ok i will do it for the use of the trailer and like $100-$200 bucks cuz it will lower my gas mileage. Somebody PLEASE HELP ME!! Google isn't helping me at all!!

Have you contacted one of the major movers like ALLIED or North American Van Lines?

If you are talking about renting a tractor trailer and driving it yourself, there is no way to do it. The rental companies will only rent to trucking companies and will not rent to individuals, even if you have your CDL. I wanted to rent one to "practice" after I got my CDL, but it was impossible. I tried. You have to have a commercial insurance policy.

Can't you have friends or relatives drive the two cars down, and then pay for a rental car to get them back to Michigan? And rent a Uhaul (actually UHaul has gone to ****) for the 3 rooms of crap?

Or maybe I'm not understanding what you're looking for...

I'm with michigan83, I'd have a hard time imagining that someone would rent a semi-truck to just any old Jane or Joe. I can't even imagine it's legal.

I'm going to be moving me and my friend and the rest of my moms stuff out of storage... i figured it would cost me 1600 to run two trucks and a 20ft trailer... if I pay a moving company with a tractor and trailer, it would cost me 1100 rounded... im saving money... but i have to get my stuff from my exs house, my moms stuff from storage, and my friends stuff from his house... so idk if they will do that many stops... idk... i did try and get a quote from allied but my phone died in the middle and they never called back... idk... that seems to be cheaper when i calculate it and plus i drive a 96 lifted bronco that guzzels gas... i wanna trailer it down there... thanks for the help guys...

With uhaul it doesn't matter how many stops you make...you are driving it yourself. I think it goes by mileage...or over a certain amount of mileage there is an additional charge...and I've seen people tow vehicles behind a uhaul.

You could always sell some of the 3 rooms of crap and replace it when you get there.

What kind of gas mileage does the Bronco get? Even if it gets just 10 MPG, and the distance from Lansing to Oklahoma City (although, obviously I don't know your exact origin or destination) is 980 miles, and the price of a gallon of gas is $3.90, that would be roughly $382 in gas. That doesn't seem too exorbitant. It seems like it would be cheaper to rent a 20 foot trailer, and pull it with the Bronco, and have your friend drive the S10.

We rented a Uhaul, and believe me I looked at just about everything in between-moving companies (outrageous), pods (one didn't deliver up here, the other one was a 28 ft. truck that refused to park on our lawn, and couldn't park on the street...), the whole nine-yards. The one thing that was really good, was when I rented the Uhaul, it gave us four days (it was a 13 hour drive) from Nebraska to Iron Mountain-the price was 900-some-odd...but right beneath the quoted price, it asked if I was flexible so I clicked on that and it said that if we returned the truck to Green Bay (97 miles from where we are now), it would drop almost 550 dollars! And it gave me the extra mileage and then some for the trip, so in the end it only cost 419, and that was with tax and a dolly as well- I know they have the bigger trucks (we got a 20 footer, and fit a four-bedroom house into it- creative packing, but we did it) where you are able to attach a vehicle to the back- you might want to check into it- I don't care for Uhaul, too many mistakes (example: they didn't have any record of my reservation, and the only way I knew and took care of it was because I called a week before we left to ask a random question...)-good luck to you, after the last three weeks of packing/planning/going nuts/moving, I don't envy you, lol.

...after re-reading your post, heck, rent a uhaul, pull the bronco, and have your friend drive the S10-problem solved, cos there would be a little extra mileage to play with that is included in your trip-we took a few detours with ours, and had a closed off highway on one that took us a bit out of our way, but we were still within the mileage they gave us.
