Afternoon,

Looking for thoughts on Saginaw and Bay City for a potential short visit. Any nice, walkable downtowns? Breweries and nature are welcomed as well!

Cheers!
Joe

I can't speak much for Saginaw's downtown, but Bay City has some quaint little shops, a nice riverfront, and a state park with a nature trail a few minutes north of town. Bay City also has two riverfront parks that are nice, especially Vet's Park for walking/biking/roller blading.

Thanks, VM. I've read less than flattering stories about Saginaw, but Bay City sounds promising. Any trails you recommend? Think it's a place for a young couple to have fun?

Thanks again for your thoughts.

Eh...it's fun enough during the warm months for people who have to live here. What is the purpose of your visit? That might help me make recommendations.

Just a weekend escape, essentially. We're city people, but like discovering small towns with nature and a walkable downtown.

Well you won't find a wild time in Bay City, but it's nice and clean enough. It's a nice little tourist town. Some great architecture.
