You've found all of this information, and still think of pursuing gainful employment there? Lol, ok.

I have have had two friends work there. In and out within six months. Do you really want to dedicate your life to a sales job? If so, than go right ahead! One friend started using more drugs than usual to cope (he's a functioning addict, I don't know what else to say about him). My other friend, straight and narrow, told me that it was the most horrible work environment she's ever encountered.

I suppose it truly boils down to what you desire from life. I believe you have a possibility of tweeking your resume to focus on your soft/hard skills and apply that to a new environment. Quicken Loans is a sweat shop otherwise.

Actually, they just refer you to quicken, Ameriserve and other mass production mortgage companies.

Here's some hometown pride we can all relish - This week Quicken Loans was ranked #1 in the entire country for best places to work in IT by Comuterworld Magazine. Quicken Loans Ranks #1 on Computerworld's 2013 '100 Best Places to Work in IT' List for Fourth Time - MarketWatch

And even if you're an intern looking to get in on the fun - Quicken puts up their 100+ interns at WSU dorms for the summer. Awesome to have a place where the best choose to be right in our backyard.

"As a further extension of our many partnerships with Quicken, Zipcar will be offering the 100 Quicken interns slated to live on campus this summer a special discount on membership and driving, similar to the discount that WSU students, faculty and staff receive."

Quicken loans contacted me about their opportunities, I really want to work with them because I'm 2 months behind on rent and need something where you get paid based on hard work. I am a hard worker and I will call them tomorrow, I need to get this interview and job!

I just had my First in person interview today, seems like a great place to work. I'm waiting to see if I made it to the third round.

I haven't read many of the posts on here, but just a select few. My wife works for Quicken loans and her and I have a small child. (14months old) - She's work with the company since the summer of 2013. If you're considering applying for the Mortgage banking position, it's worth it! I can share some insight with a person who has mixed feelings based on the horror stories and has some doubt.

I'm an Engineer for a big tier 1 supplier for General Motors with a BS degree and 5 plus years of experience. My wife made more than me in her first 3 months as a Mortgage Banker than I make now with her commission check. (That's excluding her Salary check) and I'm talking about her take home income versus my gross monthly income before taxes.

The earning potential is incredible. If you think I'm bias go to money.CNN.com and look for 100 Best companies to work for 2014. Quicken loans is #5 (in my opinion should be higher ranked). And if you scroll down the average annual pay shows what Quicken loans Mortgage bankers made last year. Most common job (Salaried): Mortgage Banker - avg. annual pay $112,677.00 (WOAH)

My wife LOVES helping people with financing to buy a home. Its rewarding because a home is the largest purchase anyone will make in a lifetime. My wife work 60+ hours and she would love to be home with our child, but she loves what she does and the company is a wonderful atmosphere. SOO many incentives, and employee outings, charatible works...I've won lions tickets because she won contests, and we are staying at a casino downtown coming up for free, thanks to Quicken loans raffles that my wife won. I can go on and on.

Last note - If anyone says it's easy to become a Mortgage banker is lying. First Quicken Loans has THE best training system around. Why? Because my wife wanted to be a dentist, but she was pregnant and didn't enroll to Grad school, so she only had a BA degree and majored in Eng Literature and minor in pyschology. No history or background in financing or banking. But through weeks and weeks of training thru Quicken where it's basically COLLEGE, she learned alot in a short time. You do have to pass numerous test with scores 80 or above. If you perform well on tests they pay you bonuses!! Who does that! Also it's required by federal goverment to pass the SAFE exam in order to be a banker in MI. (It's not easy) MUST study. After that while you await your licenses for 6-8 states, you go thru a phase called blueprint for a few months or longer depending on performance. that's training period as well. After you graduate you start on the banking floor and thats when the earning potential begins to kick in. Yes the salary is low, but the bulk of your earnings is from commissions. REMEMBER avg annual income is six figures!! Why else would salary be low.

It's worth it, but as i saw my wife "you have to have a reason why". For her its to pay off college debt in 1 year. And she's close to doing that thanks to Quicken and my wife is only 24 yrs old. I'm 28 yrs old and work with the smartest engineers and developers with masters, PH.D and my wife is making more money then most of them in her first 3 months on the banking floor. Hope this helps someone.
