Do you agree with this list and the Top 10? Any burgers not on the list you would recommend?

They've obviously never been to Detroit to try Marcus Hamburgers or Geneva's Cafe.

(of course, both of these places are/were deep in "the 'hood", not downtown)

There was a few places they did not go. Why i don't put much stock in articles like this. I am the burger king himself and thus i would have to see ( taste in this case ) it to believe it. I have gone to some of the so called BEST places via similar articles and have been greatly disappointed. Usually the first thing i'll try on any menu is the burger.

If anyone here is driving through Brimley.....

I suggest that you hit the Cozy Inn.

And in Brighton, although known for their coney dogs......

Coney Joe's has some real good burgers.

I don't find the appeal of some of these burgers that are rated highly that are so big and sloppy you have to eat with a knife and fork. Burgers are to be eaten with your hands. I know there's always a snobbery towards chains, but I like Five Guys.

My son is a burger aficionado. He says Sidetracks in Ypsi has the best burgers. His favorite chain is five guys.

I have heard Andiamo's $14 burger is fantastic ($14 is a guess, all I recall is it is absurdly expensive). I have not tried it to my recollection.

There is a place in Dearborn I always forget the name of. One of my California clients was shown around Michigan by Ridger Penske (they were working on a race track in California). Penske took him to this place and my client remembered it so fondly that years later when I moved to Michigan, he asked me to fex ex him one of their burgers. I never did. In fact I have not been there (is it Miller's maybe?). I was told they do not write down your order, there are few choices and you just pay on the way out and somehow they seem to know what you had. It is in a bar and at lunch there is often a line down the street to get in. I am not enough of a burger fan to wait in line for one.
