I'm looking for a state that has long warm summers, short winters but still has snow. So would something like Virginia? I really still want snow but not long and very cold winters.

Also cities in America that are just like Oakville, Ontario! Oakville is a very picturesque, expensive city, almost like a small town with beautiful expensive homes by the lake and a gorgeous downtown. The only problem with it is the awful Canadian winters and it being in Canada.

Continue southward. Michigan won't be much improvement over Oakville (southern suburb of Toronto).
