Hi

We are a family of 5. 2 adults, 3 kids age 5,4,3 currently thinking about moving to this area from Ireland.
My husband would have a job in Troy.
What areas would you rec us to look at renting in for a few years. Schools and safety been our priority. We have yet to visit Troy ourselves.

Any info be great!!

N.

Yeah Troy is one of the best school districts in the entire state. No need to look anywhere else.

Congrats on the new job!

nugs73, is there more information you are looking for? Troy has one of the best school districts in the state. Myself, and two other posters, all recommended that you look in Troy.

Just trying to figure out the need to 'bump' the thread. Especially when it was already on the first page.

Fourthing Troy. By far the best option for downriver. Awesome schools, and much better houses too.

What is your price range? Do you want to rent a home or an apartment? If I was working in Troy depending on price I would consider Bloomfield Hills and Birmingham.

DaniellaG - we would be looking at renting a 3 bed house (4 if we could get one within price range) which is approx 1600/1700 dollars per month.

Troy seems be getting good reviews. I also heard Birmingham nice area.
Thanks for your replies. I guess as its a possible move from Ireland - USA & such a huge step can never have enough replies or info posted here!!
Thanks again !!

Troy, Birmingham, and Rochester Hills are your best bets. All have good schools, short commutes, and are nearby all the shopping and general retail.
