I am from MI and I want to travel to SC during the hoikidays. I was wondering if my 2005 Subaru Impreza would make the trip. It's been a reliable car so far. It has 129,000 miles on it. It would be 741 miles from here to SC.

If it's been a reliable car and assuming that you have kept it well maintained, why wouldn't it make the trip? 129,000 miles on a car isn't all that many these days.

I brought a 2010 Subaru Impreza from Salt Lake City to Detroit and it was a great ride! Unless you have any serious issues going on with it I wouldn't even think twice before making the trip.

As long as it does not break, or run out of gas, or slide into a guardrail, or get run into by a semi, it will make the trip with no problem. We have made the trip several times. One thing to suggest, try to leave by or before 6 a.m. It makes it much more pleasant to do in one day. You arrive before bed time avoid driving much in the dark and you get to drive in the mountains in daylight.

This is an Automotive forum question (and a Subaru sub-forum one, at that), not a Michigan question, as you won't get nearly as many responses here as you would there.

That said, as others have chimed in already, Subarus are super reliable and if yours has been well-maintained with no obvious signs of trouble, such as balding tires or an overheating engine, there's absolutely zero reason it shouldn't make the trip.
