Help me identify this flower.-unknown-flower.jpg

My son brings home this bush several years ago from school and begs me to plant it in the yard. I origabally didn't want to because I don't like to mow around stuff. I like a clean clear yard. All of a sudden this year it starts to bloom. I want to keep it and would like to know how to take care of it, but I don't know what it is. I'v searched all over the internet, books, and I have asked several other people and noone can tell me for sure what it is. Can anyone help me identify this plant? Attached above

Rose of Sharon. They're lovely. It will grow to the size of a small tree- 10-12 ft- or you can trim it after flowering into a bush.

Definately a Hibiscus. Think they are called the Dinner Plate variety.
