My daughter is getting quotes of $700.00 to replace a starter on a 2014 Handa Accord.That sounds steep too me since the starter itself is only about $100.

Have a man take her car to the shop he uses, and get another quote. IMO, many shops are famous for trying to cheat females on car repairs, because they know many don't know any better, and will fall for repairs not needed, OR repairs at much higher prices.

Myself and my family have tried many of the auto repair places in Traverse City, honestly the best place we have found is Car Repairs Inc on Cedar Run. I think the owners name is Bob. I wish I would have met him years ago, would of saved me a ton of $$$ on car repairs that no one else in Traverse City could fix.
