Out looking for a shot or two yesterday and noticed a sheet of ice hanging off the bottom of a sign on a stub pier in Ludington. I walked around it until I found the angle that let me frame the North Pier Lighthouse in one of the "divots" on the bottom of the ice and ended up with this. As soon as I turned around to go back to the truck I heard the ice fall off the sign. A few seconds later and this shot would have been missed for good. Another "right place at the right time" moment.

Agreed, I should have mentioned that imo it's an example of creative framing and "going the extra mile" to discover and capture it.

I don't think we will have to worry about boat wakes anytime soon on the Pere Marquette River.
I loved the contrast the peeling red paint on this old fence post gave to the fresh snow.
